The Himalayas are located in Asia, splits the Southern Asia from the Tibetan Plateau. There is no exact location of the Himalayas. Some people say that the Himalayas are in six countries: Nepal, China, India, Pakistan, Bhutan and Afghanistan. This also include outlying subranges.

The Himalayas stretch 2,400km long and vary from 240-330km wide. There are three different ranges in the Great Himalayas Mountain Range; the Greater Himalayas, Lesser Himalayas and the Outer Himalayas. The Great Himalayas average about 6km high. Mount Everest is 8,796 metres high and K2 is 8,611 metres high.
